CLEO (Community Legal Education Ontario) is a community legal clinic dedicated to providing low-income and disadvantaged people in Ontario with the legal information they need to understand and exercise their legal rights. Materials cover many areas of law, including social assistance, tenants' rights, immigration and refugee law, workers' rights, family law, elder abuse and youth justice.

Family and Children’s Services is the local Children’s Aid Society. FACS offers a wide range of programs to prevent and treat the problems of abuse and neglect and to support the children, youth and families of our community.

OVMA’s SafePet Program is dedicated to assisting women in leaving abusive partners by providing temporary housing and care for their pets.


Children and Youth

Contact Niagara provides information and access to services for children experiencing emotional and/or behavioural difficulty

Kids Help Phone is a free, anonymous, confidential phone and web counselling service for young people of all ages.

Girls Allowed. An animated website targeted to girls age 11-14 in an attempt to aid girls in assessing unhealthy and healthy relationships. The goal is to enable girls to identify potentially abusive relationships before they become involved.

Niagara Child and Youth Services is the primary provider of children’s mental health treatment in Niagara. They offer a broad spectrum of treatment services and programs. They serve all children and youth from birth through to their eighteenth birthday.


Concerned Citizens

Neighbours, Friends and Families is a public education campaign to raise awareness of the signs of woman abuse so that those close to an at-risk woman or an abusive man can help. This site will also provide links to the aboriginal and francophone sites.

Kanawayhitowin. An Aboriginal initiative to inform and educate service providers, family, community leaders, neighbours and friends about the risk factors of women’s abuse

Stop Family Violence. An education program for leaders on the prevalence and enormous cost of family violence in our communities and to encourage them to become active in prevention initiatives
