We offer our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors for their generous support ensuring the shelter facility and essential support services of Gillian’s Place. We would like to mention a number of organizations and service clubs who annually respond to our needs by providing different streams of contributions. Gillian’s Place is grateful for the array of financial donations provided for the many services and/or programs we offer to the abused women and their children. Some funding received is very specific for services such as, the need for purchasing transit tickets. Other funding donations are directed from donors to contribute to the needs of our clients living in our shelter. Their funds provide items such as electronic equipment, computers for homework and televisions for the common areas in the shelter. Below we have highlighted some of the many longstanding organizations and service clubs who support Gillian’s Place on an annual basis.

The Fowler Family Foundation – Stepping Stones Program
In 2000 The Fowler Family Foundation created the Stepping Stones Program to provide needed funds for the support services provided by Gillian’s Place. Transportation, storage and moving costs to set up new households. School expenses, child care expense and the costs for children’s extracurricular activities to enhance their education outside of school.

Henley Honda

Henley Honda has entered into a unique corporate partnership with Gillian’s Place to donate $15,000 a year for 5 years, representing a long term commitment and tremendous public profile and we are extremely thankful. There are also gift sponsorships at our annual events including the Gillian’s Place Charity Golf Tournament, Walk A Mile In HER Shoes and Celebration of Women in Music which is centered around International Women's Day.

Glen Merritt Collision

The Annual Glen Merritt Moving Forward event funds our Moving Forward Fund which provides a disadvantaged client with a much needed car and a transportation fund to help women in crisis. Each year at this event, Glen Merritt Collision has generously donated a refurbished vehicle, one year of insurance coverage, automotive service, gas cards and roadside assistance coverage to a client of Gillian’s Place. In the past five years, the value of refurbishing five cars is a donation of $125,000.!
